GLICODE TM offers a unique and enjoyable way to learn coding using everyone's favorite snack, Pocky. By arranging the Pocky sticks in the correct order, users can develop algorithmic thinking skills in a fun and engaging manner.

In this educational game, players take on the role of HUG HUG, Glico's mascot, as he embarks on a mission to bring happiness to an imaginary world. To succeed, players must learn different coding functions to guide HUG HUG through a series of challenging levels and reach children in need of a smile.

GLICODE TM allows players to grasp three fundamental coding concepts while arranging Pocky sticks:

• 'If' statements

To get started with GLICODE TM, you'll need the following:

1. The "GLICODE" App: Download this app from the App Store.
2. Snacks: Grab a regular packet of Chocolate Pocky to play the game. As you progress through the levels, the challenges will become more difficult, so keep some extra Pocky handy!
3. Placemat: For optimal results, place your snacks on a plain white background using a white placemat, paper, or plate.

Follow these instructions to get the most out of GLICODE TM:

1. Line up your snacks, making sure they are not too close together.
2. Capture: Use your phone's camera to take a picture of your snack sequence from above.
3. Test your sequence: Hit the play button to see HUG HUG execute your code as he navigates the course.
4. Eat your delicious code: If you successfully complete a level, enjoy consuming your edible code and prepare for the next challenge.

Please prioritize hygiene by washing your hands before playing with your snacks, and ensure your white placemat is clean.

It's worth noting that in Japan, "GLICODE" was adopted as part of the "Popularization of Programming Education for Young Segment" program, supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in 2016. Elementary school teachers are utilizing this app to introduce programming basics to early elementary school children.
